Berlin based Reifegerste Trio play their very own and soulful interpretations of jazz, blues and even pop classics. Accompanied by the multi-faceted piano playing of Johannes Kersthold, both Simone Reifegerste's outstanding voice and Joe Kucera's super-sensitive reeds and flute melt into an unmistakable, deep musical experience of sheer beauty. Simone Reifegerste Born in Berlin-Neukölln. Started to sing before she could think, talk or walk. With 'Be Mine Or Run' she enchanted audiences all over the country for more than ten years. BMOR and Reifegerste received the 'Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik' for their highly acclaimed 'Beautiful People' album. Joe Kucera Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, he won his first jazz awards at the age of 20, playing clarinet, flute and saxophone. In the following years he played with Alexis Korner, Tony Sheridan, Hans Hartmann, Jackie Leven and czech legend Marta Kubisova a.o. Since 1997 he also curates the highly acclaimed annual 'Berlin Jazz Meeting'. Johannes Kersthold Lives in Berlin since 1987 and studied music at the UdK Berlin and piano with Walter Norris, Aki Takase and Elsbièta Sternlicht. Kersthold worked as musical director, studio musician and played with national and international known musicians. Besides that he is composer, producer, labelowner.
