The band’s repertory therefore consists of timeless music – in the right meaning of the word: Duke Ellington, Frank Zappa, Povel Ramel, Bob Mintzer, Steely Dan, Lars Jansson, Maria Schneider, George Gershwin... You could actually liken BOHUSLÄN BIG BAND to a time machine; the band picks up good music from any time period and makes it sound even better – in today’s context. Or the band members write their own completely new music and arrangements. Even if BOHUSLÄN BIG BAND´s relationship with music is untraditional, their origins are all the more traditional.
