Spirit was born 1963 in Germany and works on guitar strings since the early 70ies. He remembers how he had to go to the guitar lessons once a week as an eight year old boy, he remembers his practising, his impatience, all the tears he was whining as he failed. „My first guitar, a cheap nylon string classic guitar from Hohner with a proper sound had an area where the varnish was damaged by the salt of my tears,“, Spirit relates, „and at that age I hated the guitar, I simply had to stand to my decision for that instrument. Now I’m grateful for every tear, because you will never again be able to learn playing an instrument as you do in these young years. The older you get, the harder brain learns. Nevertheless, I don’t know if it’s a recommendation to force kids into music that way, even if there’s no better one. However, a couple of years later I left the classic nylons and started electric R’n’R, it was a redemption, like coming home.“. That’s where Spirit stayed throughout the decades.
